Roscommon County Council invites applications for The Heritage Research Bursary 2018

 

Roscommon County Council has been awarding an annual heritage research Bursary since 2012 as an action of the County Roscommon Heritage Plan.

 

To apply for the Heritage Research Bursary applicants must outline the research coverage.  The research topic or site must be located in County Roscommon.  The research project must be at MA, MSc, or PhD level in a recognised third level college.  Applicants must demonstrate how their research will contribute to fulfilment of the aim and strategic goal 8 of the County Roscommon Heritage Plan 2017-2021.

 

Applicants must demonstrate how their research will fill gaps in an understudied aspect of the heritage of Co. Roscommon.  Applicants must demonstrate an innovative research methodology and outline the motivations for their research.  There is one bursary award only.  The maximum value of the award is €1000.

 

Roscommon County Council is now inviting applications for The Heritage Research Bursary 2018. They can also be downloaded from the Heritage Section of www.roscommoncoco.ie .  The closing date for receipt of completed application forms and accompanying information is Tuesday 8th May 2018.
