Duration: 6th February to 6th March

CSO is now accepting submissions from data users on data outputs from Census 2021.

Public consultation for Census 2021 has two distinct elements.  The first of these was the public consultation on form content which has already been completed. Steps in the process included acceptance of submissions from the public, convening a Census Advisory Group (CAG) of expert users, a Census Pilot Survey, data analysis and user agreement. Census 2021 content was signed off by Government in July 2019.  A full report on is available on the CSO website here.

The second part of CSO’s public consultation process seeks the views of the census data users on the outputs that will be produced from Census 2021.

CSO is inviting all data users, both individuals and organisations, to indicate their data requirements and suggestions for Census 2021 outputs by responding to the five questions in the survey at the link below. The public consultation will be open from the 6th of February to the 6th of March. CSO will examine all submissions received and use them to inform the Census 2021 Dissemination Strategy, which will be published on www.cso.ie later this year. A list of statistical products with an associated timetable will be published in the first half of 2021.
