The LCSP is a new initiative established under the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024, designed to bring together community representatives, public sector bodies and stakeholders to improve safety and wellbeing in our communities.
The LCSP replaces the former Joint Policing Committees and represents a more inclusive, collaborative and strategic approach to community safety. The new partnership approach aims to encourage greater community participation and empowerment to foster greater feelings and experiences of safety in their localities. The new LCSP in County Roscommon will play a vital role in enhancing community safety.
